VULCAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES

The Vulcan Academy of Science is designed to answer questions you may have about a particular science which has piqued your interest enough to learn more about it. VAS offers degrees in 30 science related areas and electives based on sub-sciences, plus Treknobabble, logic and trivia, from many of the sciences that exist in our world today. To add that bit of thrilling science fiction, I've thrown in Star Trek trivia that relates to the sciences VAS offers.

Basic Logic Course is required to be completed by all V.A.S. students, and is sent with your first course.

Extra Credit Exam
This exam may be requested at any time. The ECE can be used with any course to boost your score if you feel you need extra credit.

A Vulcan name will be assigned to all who successfully complete it. If you have a preference for a name, please submit it for consideration.

Students receiving a score of 100% will be inducted into the Vulcan Legion of Honor, and will receive a certificate. Each score of 100% will earn a promotion in your Legion of Honor ranking.

Students receiving a score of 95% or higher will receive an Academy Commendation.

Students who score 100% are inducted into the Vulcan Legion of Honor and may "upgrade" their standing in the Legion with each score of 100% in each VAS program they complete.

VAS examinations are based on the World Book Encyclopedia, online resources, Star Trek original series episodes, Star Trek Encyclopedia, the first five movies and novelizations of these movies.
