The College of Survival
Studies contains seven (7) schools described below. All courses requested
via e mail will be sent using PDF formatting unless the student requests
otherwise

Courses
Tuition: 2 Loose stamps per courses only if taking the courses
by mail. Don’t send SASE . Students outside the USA need not send
postage. Student are encouraged to take all courses online where there
is no tuition or fees included. there is not tuition for any course from
this College above that required for postage as described above.
Survival Training School (TSS)
These five (5) courses
are designed to provide you with basic survival information, in a question
and answer format. All courses have a manual specific to that course.
Students are requested to complete all of the Survival Training Courses
before they can request for more courses from this college. Completion
of all 5 courses, student can request the Basic Survival Entry Project.

Survival Extreme Conditions School (ESS)
Students are required to complete TSS102 - Advanced Survival Training,
at the Training School prior to requesting any course from this school
These six (6) courses
cover the wide range of conditions in which you may be required to survive.
Each course is presented in the question and answer format. All courses
have a manual specific to that course. Students may choose any of the
offerings from this school. Completion of all 6 courses will grant the
student the Title of Survival Specialist.

Survival Mapping School (MSS)
Students are required to complete TSS102 - Advanced Survival Training,
at the Training School prior to requesting any course from this school
This school consists
of five (5) Training & three (3) Degree courses that cover aspects
of map making and their use. Each course is presented in the question
and answer format. All courses have a manual specific to that course.
Courses should be taken in order as each consecutive course builds on
the one before it. Completions of all 5 mapping training courses will
grant the student the title of Starfleet mapping specialist.

The Mapping School
also includes a Degree program which will challenge the student to use
the information you acquired in mapping training.
MSS201 Mapping Specialist
This course will have the student plotting a course in a round the world
trip including the use of azimuths and bearings,
MSS301 Mapping Advanced Specialist
This course will require the student to create a map of the area within
a 2 mile radius of their home, including changes in elevation, proper
map symbols and use of scales.
MSS401 Mapping Senior Specialist
This course will require the student to combine the material from the
Masters course with a plotted course from your residence to a location
at least 2 miles from your residence chosen by the Director from your
Masters project.
Emergency Preparedness School (PSS)
Students are required to complete TSS102 - Advanced Survival Training,
at the Training School prior to requesting any course from this school.
This school consists
of five (5) Training & three (3) Degree courses that cover the many
sides of emergencies which you may face at any time. All courses are presented
in a question and answer format. All courses include a course specific
manual. Courses should be taken in consecutive order. The completion of
all 5 course grants the student the Specialist of Emergency Preparedness.

Emergency Preparedness Degree Courses
The Emergency Preparedness
School also includes a degree program which will ask the student to describe
3 levels of preparedness.
PSS201 Preparedness Specialist
This course asks the student to describe what they would do to survive
a specific Natural Disaster chosen by the Director.
PSS301 Preparedness Advanced Specialist
This course asks the student to describe what they would do to survive
a specific Technical disaster chosen by the Director.
PSS401 Preparedness Senior Specialist
This course will have the student prepare their family to survive a Fire
at home including escape routes and specifics.
Basic Survival Situations (BSS)
Students are required to complete TSS102 - Advanced Survival Training,
at the Training School prior to requesting any course from this school.
The school has a series of four (4) courses that require students to detail
specific survival situations in essay form. The specifics of each course
will be sent to the student upon request and must be returned within 3
months, for evaluation. Once the project is evaluated, the director will
send the student a list of specific questions which were not covered in
the project. The student will have one month to respond. The initial project
will be worth 75% of the grade and the responses to the questions will
make up the other 25% of the grade.
BSS101 Basic Entry Course
This course is a project involving single person survival in a wilderness
location with only the equipment specifically allowed.
BSS201 Specialist
This course is a study in life with a primitive culture to be specified
by the director.
BSS301 Advanced Specialist
This course is a study in the design and building of a lunar base
BSS401 Senior Specialist
This course has the student detail the needs of an extended space flight
without warp drive.
Survival Strategies School (SSS)
Students are required to complete TSS102 - Advanced Survival Training,
at the Training School prior to requesting any course from this school.
These four (4) courses
require the use of specific Star Trek Series Episodes or material as designated
for each level. The student will need to have access to specific episodes
for viewing. The Survival in the Star Trek Universe course will require
the use of information available on the web or in the Star Trek Encyclopedia
or the published Starfleet Survival Guide by David Mack, regarding Star
Trek related survival equipment.
SSS101 Survival in the Star Trek Universe
SSS102 Survival in the Star Trek Universe 2
This course expands on the information provided in the original SSS101 course and adds to the things you may need to know in the 22nd , 23rd and 24th centuries.
SSS201 Strategies Specialist
This course requires the answering of specific set of questions regarding
specific Voyager Episodes
SSS301 Strategies Advanced Specialist
This course requires the answering of specific questions from Next Generation
episodes
SSS401 Strategies Senior Specialist
This course requires the answering of specific questions from a number
of Original series episodes
Escape Pod
School (EPS)
This School introduces the student to the use and identification of Escape
Pods. Manuals will be sent with the exams.

Special Conditions
If you form a team to explore the Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate in
any CSS school, all members of the team must have completed TSS102 Advanced
Survival Training course. Only one member from each team needs to complete
the preceding level before the team embarks on its mission.
Report format
All reports must be submitted in the English language. Your responses
to essay questions and your reports should be in complete sentences and
should fully explain your answers. Other required projects must be neat
and clear, All reports MUST be labeled with your Name, Email, & SCC
number.
Submission
Methods
IF YOU ARE ON LINE: You can E-mail you material.
The diplomas will be E-mailed unless you indicate you desire the diploma
mailed via US mail. If you are not on line, type or neatly write your
report and mail it to the address on top of this site.
General Information
Cadets at least 12 years of age may take the training courses, with Cadets
at least 14 years of age being approved for the remaining courses. Some
of the material may be presented at a reading level not understandable
to younger Cadets.
All courses will have
a 3 month maximum presentation period. Extensions due to Illness, family
circumstances or natural disaster must be sent to me before the time limit
is up. The extension must state how much additional time is needed to
complete the project or exam to a maximum of 3 months.
It is highly recommended
you make and retain a copy of any test or project submitted.
Grading of Projects
will be Pass or Fail with exceptional work being given an Honors grade.
Exams will be given a Fail, Pass, Honors, or Distinction grade
Exams which receive a fail grade may request a retake. However no True
/ False questions may be changed and the student will not receive a grade
higher than Honors.
Real world experience
will be considered on an individual basis and the student must complete
the prerequisite Basic and Advanced training before requesting any experience
exemption. No Diploma will be issued for classes you are excused from.
Transcripts for all
students will be kept for a period of 5 years. If any courses or project
has not been returned within 6 months of the requested date except for
special dispensation) you will be dropped and must reapply.
When mailing reports
or questions via snail mail, please DO NOT include any rank on the envelope.
Fictitious ranks sometimes offend the many veterans working in the Postal
service. Use the Name and address of the School Director found at the
top of the page.
No answers will be
given but directions to the information may be provided.
