SFA Site Upgrade Maintenance

A major update has been applied to the SFA website.  With the upgrade comes several new features, most admin related, but will subsequently flow through to the front end that the public can view as time goes on.

New SFA Website

With a brand new year and a brand new administration, we welcome you to the brand new STARFLEET Academy website.

Please be aware that this is Stage 1 of a multistage release as such some links are pointing back to the 'old' website and there may be some minor bugs and should therefore be viewed in that light. 

Some elements of the site may move during subsequent stage releases.

Cadet Star Award

Challenge to all Cadet.

Do you want to show off the great work you do in the Institute of Cadet Studies of STARFLEET Academy?  Here's how.

When a Cadet completes all courses in a college with grades of Honors and/or Distinction, he/she will receive a special certificate along with an Honor Star that he/she can pin to their uniform, bag, or whatever one wants in order to show how he/she did.  The Cadet can earn as many pins as there are colleges.

This flier sampler will give you an idea what is on offer within the main (18+) Institutes of SFA.

Academy Cadet Studies Sampler Flier

The Institute of Cadet Studies is designed for the youth members of STARFLEET, or those members due to some handicap are unable to complete the standard course. This flier sampler will give you an idea what is on offer within the Cadet Studies Institute.

Academy Mission Statement

The Academy is the education/ entertainment branch of STARFLEET: The International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc. We offer a wide varitety of courses ranging from testing trivial knowledge of the Star Trek universe to expanding general knowledge about the world around us. Courses designed to help build practical skills can be found here as well. The Academy's curriculum has been designed to be offered exclusively to the members of STARFLEET, and is free of charge for any course taken that is available through email or as part of the Online Academy (Students wishing to have course materials/ graduation certificates sent via post are asked to pay a minimal fee to cover printing/shipping expenses).


STARFLEET Academy is constantly working to provide new subjects and areas of study for your enlightenment and entertainment. While the courses we offer are not recognized as a formal education by any established institute of higher learning, they are a fun way to pass the time, and to learn something new every day."
